2018 Audiobook Challenge Semi-annual Update
How is it already halfway through the year? It seems like we were just starting the year not that long ago. I started a new job in January and luckily, I’m still able to listen at work, so my audiobook numbers haven’t dropped. I did do a lot more relistens as I worked through my new duties. I had been kinda in that mood and it helped in that I didn’t have to listen quite as intensely as with a new listen.
I had so many great listens in the first half of this year. Molly Harper had an audio first story with How to Date Your Dragon, read by Amanda Ronconi. I listened to John Wayne Gacy: Defending a Monster, which is actually written by his lawyer, Judge Sam L. Amirante, and read by Robin Bloodworth. It was a very interesting and disturbing read. I even read by first Nora Roberts book, Year One, read by Julia Whelan.
I’ve also seen some series come to an end. Last Dragon Standing is the last book in Rachel Aaron’s Heartstriker series read by Vikas Adam. I will so miss Julian, Mercy and the gang. Scourged is the last book in Kevin Hearne’s The Iron Druid Chronicles read by Luke Daniels.
I hope that I have just as many great listens in the second half of the year.
