My thoughts
This is not the first time that sex and rock & roll have been mentioned in the same sentence, but when an author adds the word LOVE, and creates bigger than life characters that feel real in a compelling, touching story with hotter than hell sex scenes, and then she sprinkles it withlaugh out loud moments, she most certainly has a winner, this is exactly what Olivia Cunning has with Backstage Pass, the introduction to the Sinners on Tour series.
Who knew that master Sainclair, the gorgeous and downright sexy lead guitarist for the Sinners would find his Mojo back with a nerdy, but sexy professor? And yes, they both thought this was going to be just a quick, “Bam, Bam, thank you ma’am” but what unravels is a sweet, romantic, passionate, funny and sexy story that takes center stage, almost overshadowing the fact that this is an erotic novel….Just the way I like it, I’m a romantic after all.
The characters and their world are so well developed that by the end, you feel as if these guys were people you’ve known for a long time, and you are not only invested in the protagonists’ story, but in every single member of the Band.
I love the timing and the perfect amount of sex scenes; I never felt they were just put all over the place just because this is an erotic novel.
If you are like me, and can not enjoy a sex scene without feeling an emotional connection between the protagonists, then you are really are going to love Backstage Pass, you knew these two were made for each other from the moment they met.
I love Brian and Myrna; they complement each other perfectly. Myrna’s witty and smart mouth makes perfect chemistry with the sexy but totally sweet rock star.
So, hop on! And don’t be chock; just enjoy your front road ticket to the Sinners’ tour!

Narration
This was a treat in some many ways! First I got to purchase the audiobook on audible.com for only $2.99 because I already owned the Kindle version, how about that? So, you hear that peeps? There’s never been a better time to re-visit old favorites on audio at great discounted prices if you already own them on Kindle.
And second, Justine O. Keef did such a fantastic job that enjoyed this book even more than when I first read it. I’m always more critical of the narration in these cases, I usually have a firm idea in my head of the character’s personality and what they should sound like – the smallest variation can leave me very disappointed, but not this time.
Ms. Keef ‘s understanding of the characters and the tone of the story really comes through with her interpretation; the funny moments, the sexy scenes, the emotional parts, the witty dialogue and the small dose of suspense were all nicely conveyed, and I truly felt the characters and the setting’s energy. I love Brian in print, but I love him even more now that he has a voice. She had a distinct tone and voice for each of the band members; I found her male voices quite adequate for a female narrator.
Her interpretation of Myrna had the perfect amount of cockiness without making her sound obnoxious, which could have easily had happened.
I couldn’t pause this audiobook for a minute, I think I had my iPod plugged in for the whole 12 hours, that’s how much I enjoyed it the second time around.
All in all, a very good narration that made my re-visiting experience a true pleasure. I highly recommend the audiobook.
