My Thoughts on Pleasure Unbound Audiobook

I first read this entire series before a got a chance to experience it on audio. It seems that the popularity of audiobooks is on the rise, in my opinion, due to easy access and advances in technology.This is making publishers release more and more titles that wouldn’t have been available in the past.
It’s only been a few months since all the installments to this series have come available on audio.  I was static to find out about their release, to say the least.
I’m writing this review after having read  the entire series, so  my enthusiasm for this book  is as part of my love for the  series as a whole.

First off let me say, I didn’t start loving this book right away, I was tented to put it down not be pick up again.  Being an avid a romance reader, I was used to relationships being build and taken slowly before things between the protagonists  got hot and heavy.  I felt I was being thrown into the sex scenes without any prior history, knowledge or character development, and at moments I thought I was reading just plain erotica, which is not my cup of tea, …Well let me tell you; I’m so glad I kept reading!! The story developed; the characters developed – the romance and the love developed, and the world became so complex and multi-layered with an incredible amount of imagination and originality that leaves you at awe with the author’s talent.

I’m going to warn you, these books are not for the prude, the sex is explicit and hot, yes very hot, but by the time you read/listen to the second book you’ll find yourself totally invested in these characters and very immersed in this fantastic world. The characters are absolutely multy-dimensional; flawed in just the right way, but above all they’re very honorable with a great sense of loyalty and yes!! Yes!! Totally Alpha males. The heroines are strong, intelligent, outspoken and independent.

I came across a review for the Pleasure Unbound audiobook that was so unfair, and a total disservice to the author that I decided to start blogging about audiobooks. I hope to help people  to be a little more knowledgeable  about the audiobooks they’re buying. If they are a little more informed about genres, they won’t make the mistake of downloading a paranormal romance title, and then call it thrash because its sexual content, and then proceed to  totally dismissed the author’s talent. You don’t put Cinemax at 2 AM and expect to watch Mary Poppins, not that I know anything about that…I’m just saying. Lol.
This s a paranormal romance book for adults and I mean that and every sense of the word, so don’t expect Buffy the Vampire, on the other hand, if you are familiar with the genre; strap yourself and enjoy this sizzling, dark, sexy and suspenseful ride, full of fast-moving action, deep emotions and an intensity that will keep you wanting more. I  can assure you won’t be disappointed.

Narration of Pleasure Unbound Audiobook

This narration was perfectly executed by Mrs. Campbell. She did a terrific job conveying the suspense, darkness and sensuality of this book. The brother’s voices were delivered in a superb manner, each representative of their personality. Eidolon‘s voice reflected his leadership quality and sense of loyalty. Shade’s displayed the  darkness and disagreeable manner, and  then.. Wraith!.. ah… Wraith! (My favorite) his  voice showed his rebellious nature, sarcasm and the bad boy attitude that makes him so attractive (I love a good bad boy).
It’s very impressive when a female reader does a great job with the male voices; oftentimes you find how disappointing it’s when a male voice in a book is not delivered quite to your satisfaction.
All in all, this is a terrific narration. The entire cast of character was impressively performed. I definitely recommend  the Pleasure Unbound audiobook, if you have already read the book you will enjoy the different dimension that audio brings to the story.
