The Professional – part 2 audiobook sample
Reviewed by ML Simmos
The Professional is a serial story, which means that it is a single story that is broken into parts. This is part two of three. In part one, we meet the main two characters of Natalie who is a college virgin who has an eager sexual appetite, but hasn’t been able to go all the way with a guy. We also meet Sevastyan, who is an enforcer for her biological crime boss father. He is sent to bring her to Russia to meet her father. Part one ended in quite a cliffhanger and this book picks up right where that left off
In this part of the story, we see the struggle between Natalie and Sevastyan with their relationship. If they consummate their relationship, they are together forever because of laws within the Russian mafia. This makes things between them really hard. There is also the part where Natalie has a great need to submit and Sevastyan has a great need to dominate, but he is terrified of hurting her. This is a huge concern between them as well. There are other issues as well, but I won’t give away any spoilers. Lastly, there is another HUGE cliffhanger.
Narrator Kimberly Alexis does another great job with the narration. There are some really emotional parts in this part of the story and she nails the emotions really well. I was very impressed, once again, with her performance. I can’t want for the next finale.
I like to thank Simon & Schuster Audio for proving me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
